Counter Terror Expo 2010
An unprecedented level of interest in our products and services at the Counter Terror Expo 2010 made it a simple decision to participate in the enlarged event to be held in the Grand Hall at Olympia next year.
Follow up actions on major projects are still underway with a significant level of enquiries resulting from the workshop seminar presented at this year's event.
Visitors can look forward to a new and larger stand layout next year and the introduction of additional new products to meet the ever changing needs of the perimeter security industry.

IFSEC 2010 Report
IFSEC was an incredible experience for Detection Technologies with high-profile exposure as a favoured integration partner of ISM Ltd. (Integrated Security Management). The shared exhibition stand layout exceeded our wildest expectations and the decision to participate in the same format next year was never in doubt.
ISM are a leading supplier of security management systems, and having implemented a high level TCP/IP interface to Detection Technologies' MultiTek detection system, the benefits to both parties are rapidly becoming evident with enquiries for fully integrated systems offering the comprehensive features of the ISM management system combined with the unsurpassed performance capabilities of the MultiTek detection system.

Detection Technologies Products On Track To Take Poll Position
Detection Technologies are one of 6 manufacturers currently being evaluated at a rough weather test site to ensure product compliance with Ministry Of Justice performance criteria for systems suitable for installation in UK prison establishments.
We are confident that, on conclusion of the evaluation process, the final results will confirm that the unique design features embodied in both our VibraTek 3G sensor cable and the complementary signal analyser systems have yielded significant and worthwhile performance benefits when compared with earlier generations of linear magnetic sensor cable.
These results come as no surprise to Detection Technologies personnel, who were of course, the brains behind the design of both the first and second generation linear magnetic sensor cables, some of which continue to be marketed by other suppliers in their now outdated formats.

Spanish Airport Authorities Contract Success
Detection Technologies are pleased to announce the award of a major contract to supply their VibraTek fence intrusion detection system to the Spanish Airport Authorities for installation at Alicante airport.
This prestigious contract comprises almost 11km of VibraTek sensor cable segmented into 64 detection zones using Detection Technologies' DuoTek signal analyser units.
Each DuoTek analyser will be linked to the central control room on site by an existing optical fibre communications network and will avoid the need for any field based system adjustments.
The contract was won in the face of stiff opposition but the invaluable assistance and expertise of their Spanish agent combined with the undisputed technical advantages that the VibraTek / DuoTek system offers, the opposition was overcome and Detection Technologies won the day.

Ranby Prison Project Completed
A proud moment for Detection Technologies Ltd. as Operations Manager, Keith Talbot, receives the certificate of completion for the supply, installation, and commissioning of a 56 zone perimeter intrusion detection system at HMP Ranby at Retford, in Nottinghamshire.
Detection Technologies own personnel managed with every aspect of the project from supply and delivery of equipment to site, through the installation process, to final testing, commissioning, and handover of the system.
HMP Ranby is a Category C prison with a secure perimeter fence 1700 metres in length and as such is one of the largest institutions of it's kind in the UK.
At the de-brief meeting immediately prior to the official handover, East Midlands area manager for the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Graham Mumby-Croft, commented that it was one of the best-managed, and least problematic projects he had been involved in.
